Patient Care Self Service Improvement. The BC Health Care Portal now allows you to see consolidated records and visit summaries for:

The BC Health Connect Registry (for those looking for a local family doctor)

Lab Results
COVID 19 Test Results
Immunization Records
Hospital Visit Summaries
Special Authority Request Approvals
Imaging Reports
Organ Donor Registry Status

You need to have registered for your online BC Services Card ID to access. This is really helpful in both accessibility and allowing patients to follow up with doctors or manage their own longer term health issues with insurance or walk in doctors while travelling. This is also helpful to follow up when tests may be cancelled due to say, patient ate before a fasting test, and your doctor forgets to reorder them.

For straight up lab tests, Lifelabs (if you tested at Lifelabs) still is better as you can chart and compare specific values. The province only keeps records of health visits for six years, so download them annually if you need to be able to backtrack and know exactly which doctor/date you saw them on. Upon exploration, I found a lot of my lab results but not all my imaging results or records from >20 years ago.
